Hello Spring!

Tomorrow is the first day of spring and today you can tell it is coming. We went outside to celebrate and played all afternoon! The weather was gorgeous and the warm sun felt so good. I even saw some of my day lilies peaking their head out of the ground! WOO HOO!! I am ready for green grass, warm weather and getting some great images of your kids and family outside!

I have had so many kind and encouraging replies after launching my site. I appreciate each and every one of you!!

Daddy is gearing up for bow hunting season - Brad loves to shoot his arrow at the target. He even can make a couple stick! Oh, yeah...that is his "mean, tough guy" face!!

And just in case you wondered where big brother was, well...lets just say he wasn't quite up for a great time outside...he is a bit under the weather! Poor baby.

Little Miss Laney

I did a session today for one of my best friends in the whole wide world - Valerie (Vogel) Chmelka. Val and I have been friends since I can remember.

She had her first baby girl 8 weeks ago. Miss Laney was a doll through the entire session. We took our time and got some great shots of this sweet little girl. She only needed to take a break for a couple of diaper changes and one much needed bottle! Thanks Val for letting me cuddle that sweet baby!

Patience, Who, Me?!?!

Okay, if you know me very well, you would know that I have NO patience. When I want things done, I want them done yesterday. When I am anxious for something to happen the day can last 2400 hours.....remember Christmas Eve as a child...the day lasted F O R E V E R!! That is what I am talking about.

Well, my patience has been tested the past week or so, I am SO EXCITED to show the world my new webpage and to get the word out about my new venture and it is taking F O R E V E R to get the site up live. I am waiting, waiting, waiting, checking my email, waiting some more....UGH! Come on already!

So, I suppose if you are reading this the site is live and I am now a happy and satisfied girl. Thank you for listening, I feel much better!

Blue Eyed Boy

I have been spending countless hours playing with Adobe Lightroom on my computer. I think my hubby is getting jealous! :) Here is a pic of Garrett Nun - Kindergarten teacher Ann Nun's baby boy. He has THE bluest eyes - they are like ocean water. He is gonna be a heart breaker!

Sweet Little Girls...

Since I am the mommy of 3 very roudy boys it is alway fun to spend some time with frilly little girs. I had a session for my good friends Greg & Danelle Weeder. We took 2 year pics of their daughter, Lauren & included big sis Olivia too! They were so sweet!

We did the shoot in their home and Danelle commented how great it was to be home and not have to travel and pack everything up! You are amazed at how much we can do within your own home during the winter months. I also feel that images captured in your home or in your backyard have so much more meaning. Here are some of my favorite images from the session.

The Sunshine State

My middle son, Brad and I went on a trip to visit Grandma and Grandpa in Naples, FL. We had a blast - especially lying on the sand and hangin' at the pool. I took some fun underwater pics of Brad at the pool. I plan to have a "Day at the Pool" underwater session sometime this summer - let me know if you are interested and I will put you on the list! Here I go, again....

Yes! I get to do this all again - and how fun and exciting it has been! I have purchased all new equipment and am ready to roll. In case you don't know my photography past, here it is:

In 1997 I opened Hall Studios in downtown Auburn. I ran & operated this business, until my husband and I decided to sell it to focus more on our other business and to raise a family. Fast forward 6 years and 3 boys later and here we are! The timing is perfect and I have missed the creativity photography gave me.

I plan to post lots of pics to share with you and to have some special "Internet" deals! I will also keep you all up to date on many "special" shoots I will plan through out the year. (day at the pool, picture in the park, Santas Wonderland, etc.) Keep coming back as I will have lots of new stuff for you to check out!
