Senior Rep 2010

Graduation for the class of 2009 is upon us and I am already looking to the graduating class of 2010! I am pleased to announce that Kailey Frenzel is this years Senior Rep for Mandy Hall Photography. Here is a sneak peek of our first session!

E-Session

Engagement sessions can be so fun & creative!! Last Sunday was another gorgeous day for outdoor images. Nicole & Jesse are getting married this summer and I can't wait for the wedding - they are willing to do just about anything and it will be a ton of fun!!

Happy Birthday Margaret!!

The Magill family came from all directions to help their mother, grandmother & great grandmother celebrate her 80th birthday. The family met up at the beautiful Lied Lodge in Nebraska City. The day couldn't have been more perfect...it was a warm spring morning, the trees were in full bloom and the sun was shining. Thank you to everyone for a wonderful morning and Happy Birthday Margaret!!

Meeting New Friends

One of the best parts of my job is all the great new friends I get to meet. Whether it be a family session, a wedding or just a simple head shot, it always seems that the people I meet become good friends of mine. I love meeting new people and making new friends...and last Friday was no exception.

The Bowman Family

Can you feel it? Spring is here!

We had a beautiful spring day for images outdoors. We didn't have to venture very far to find some green grass. Thanks to the Bowman family for coming to see me!!

"Books Are"....SOLD!

I am happy to report that the Literary Gala held this past Saturday night was a smashing success! The Gala was such a fun time and everyone was there to raise money for the new children's addition at our local library.

One of the committee chairs came up with the idea of doing a "READ" series of posters...well, after looking into it, the "READ" posters were trademarked, so we went off looking for a new slogan and came up with "BOOKS ARE". I convinced my son, Bradley to pose for my sample poster - and he did a great job, I believe he is a model in the making!! :) Check out our sample -

There were 12 posters up for silent auction and each winner will get their photo taken with their "BOOKS ARE" theme and each winner will receive an 11x14 print of the poster, plus the library will also receive a poster to display for one month and then keep and hopefully hang in the new conference room!! I have donated all my time and the prints to the library and am thrilled to report that Mandy Hall Photography raised over $1200 for the new addition!!

Avery - 3 months

Sweet little Avery came to visit me yesterday. She brought along her mom and grandma. We had so much fun capturing this happy girl. She was PERFECT through the entire session - she only needed to have a small "snack" to get her happy again. Mom brought along lost of fun, unique hats, bows and props to use. Here is a small sneak peek - there were so many great shots that I just couldn't decide, so I decided to just give you a couple.

This last one is a new technique I am trying - it resembles a hand painted oil portrait. Isn't it beautiful??

The Hutton's

Deloris & Bob have their 50th Wedding anniversary coming up soon and it so happens that their kids are also celebrating 25 years of wedded bliss this year too. They all came in to have some anniversary portraits taken and if you know Deloris you know that we were all laughing and having a great time during the entire session!!

Oh, my have I been busy!!

First I must apologize for not updating my blog for...what....3 MONTHS!!!! There is no excuse, but I will try to give you one!

I barely had time to breath in December, with orders, order, orders, and then try and fit my own holiday schedule in there - it was a blur, but a great one!!

Since this is my first year in business I wasn't sure how busy my January - March would be so I decided to work at my mother-in-law's CPA office during those months, doing none other than your taxes! It has been okay, but the right side and left side of my brain are fighting! :)

Ben & I were able to sneak away the end of February to head down to Florida to visit family. We had a wonderful time enjoying the peace and quiet. I mean it, quiet is quite the treat when you have three boys!!

I have also been busy getting orders in, doing several shoots and going to the Nebraska Professional Photographers Convention. I entered 4 images for judging and am happy to report that I scored VERY well on all three prints. Here are the images I submitted -

I am also happy to report that the new studio space is moving along very well. Not as quick as I had hoped, but it it ever!?!? I will try and post some "progress" pics soon of the work.
