Love in the Market

Yesterday my hubby and I spent the afternoon with my dear friend Mandy and her fiance, Jeff. We had a ball walking around the Old Market in Omaha and getting some great engagement photos. They were so much fun to shoot and would do anything I asked of them! Here is a shout out to Jeff - he was a great sport!

I am totally willing to travel to these awesome locations - the Old Market has TONS of great photo ops - we ran into a few other photographers shooting that day - it was BEAUTIFUL!!

Special Day

I spent a wonderful "Mommy Day" with my family this past Sunday. We all met up at my mom and step-dads beautiful lake home at Lake Waconda. It was a fun filled day hanging out, eating and drinking....Perfection!

We did get to meet a new "friend" in my dear brothers life. Her name is Dana and she is a firefighter in Omaha. A BIG HUGE PLUS in the eyes of my three boys. They all thought she was great! She brought all of her "gear" and all the kids (plus Grandma) tried it all on and we took some fun images.

I hope all the mom's had a great relaxing day and I hope your families pampered you!!

Spring baby!

First of all you MUST forgive me for the lack of blogs in the past month or so. We have been busy being outside enjoying the BEAUTIFUL weather!! In the past month my husband and I have planted 2 trees, 2 bushes, tons of flowers and some of our garden; mulched everywhere; put lattice work around the deck; built a strawberry bed & planted the berries; put up a new chain-link fence around our backyard and installed a new mailbox! Now do you understand?!?! Truth be told, Ben and I love to be outside and do yard work - at least we love it in the spring when it is still cool outside - ask me again in August!!

I have also been busy doing some soccer pics, confirmation photos and getting some awesome shoots booked! I am really looking forward to doing a session of a dear friend of mine. She is getting married this September and I have the privilege of shooting her engagement photos this month and we are headed to the Old Market! Keep posted for a preview of the images!

These onions are popping out of the dirt - my garden looks great! I get so much satisfaction watching it grow!

I planted some tulip bulbs last fall and we are reaping the rewards now.

And...just because he is so cute...here is my little Owen at one of our many soccer games...that is a Skittle in his hand a Skittle goo going down his chin. :)
